If you’re looking to move to score a new job or start (or continue) your career, you’re probably scoping out where the strongest employment market is. It can be confusing, especially when so many states and cities boast of their economic growth and development. Well, we may have found some answers – or at least some direction – to help you in your search.
According to the latest Employment Outlook Survey from Milwaukee-based staffing giant, ManpowerGroup, the top location to hunt for jobs is Charlotte, North Carolina, based on data from some 11,000 employers in the U.S. The city received a 29% rating in the study, a score derived by taking the percentage of employers anticipating an increase in hiring activity and subtracting from that the percentage of employers expecting a decrease in hiring. The 100 largest metropolitan areas in the country were taken into account.
