There is plenty to do around Charlotte to celebrate the 4th of July. From huge, city-wide events to smaller community festivals, if you live in an apartment in Charlotte, NC, there will be no shortage of things to do.

U.S. National Whitewater Center Coca-Cola Fourth of July Festival
The Coca-Cola 4th of July Festival features two consecutive days of free live music and fireworks. The celebration takes place Tuesday, July 3 and Wednesday, July 4.
The music starts both afternoons at 4 p.m., and both evening will have a fireworks show. The fireworks take off from Hawk Island for display over the whitewater river. At this show the fireworks are spectacular and very close, it does get crowded. Come early.
Legends Big Money 100 & Fireworks Extravaganza- Charlotte Motor Speedway
This is a grassroots race and it is the largest in history. This race will once again give away the largest Legend Car and Bandolero purse of the year. The drivers will race through the speedway's front stretch quarter-mile oval. Two days of racing will end in the Legends Big Money 100 on Tuesday night which will include a Fourth of July fireworks show. Kids 13 and under are free.
Shriners International 4th of July Parade-2:30 p.m., Uptown Charlotte
The Shriners 4th of July parade in Charlotte is an event the whole family can enjoy. The parade is demonstration of patriotism with marching bands, clowns & tiny cars!
"Nights of Fire" at Carowinds
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from July 6 to August 12 Carowinds theme park will celebrate all month long with "Night of Fire," as the sky lights up each evening with a stunning fireworks celebration.
